Apple Cinnamon Jam

I am a person who has desire of making jam just because I bought half loaf of bread. And yes! I did make apple cinnamon jam for this reason. It’s a big success.

Home-made jam is simple, tasty and healthy (without preservative).

I think this is just a start, mm..., citrus with cinnamon also sounds good~

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:

2 apples (around 300g)

1 lemon

300g sugar

2 table spoon ground cinnamon powder

1.5 table spoon agar powder

(some maple syrup)

Before making tasty jam, it’s really important to have clean jar. Jar should be disinfected which means you should boil the jar for 10 mins and then dry it naturally.

Process:

1. Boil 500g water and then added apple slices. After 10-15 mins, smash apple slices in the water

2. Add sugar in the pot. It should be medium fire. Cook for 10 mins meanwhile keep stirring.(add some maple syrup)

3. Add lemon juice and cinnamon powder

4. Turn to small fire and then add agar powder. Cook for 1-2 mins

5. Pour hot jam in the jar and naturally cool it down.

After cooling down, put it in the fridge. It can last for 3 weeks to 1 months.

The above amount is enough for 1.5 jars.

Easy and simple~ This picture is the apple cinnamon jam I made. It's good to eat with bread for breakfast~

Being a vegetarian

There are many things in life that happen for no reason. However, after that, you realize that It was a critical moment.

It's like when you walk to the edge of a mountain, and try to walk to the next step as usual, suddenly you fall down from the cliff.

During that "less than one second moment", your life is completely different.

Whether you become a handicapped or you find that you actually can fly like a bird— It is different.

I think that night was the "less than one second", that talk, was the transformation.

It was Christmas Eve, the party was as usual, a group of foreigners dancing and drinking, under the name of Christmas.

I knew most of the friends there. We talked about life, travel and anything. Then I went to the balcony in the second floor.

A girl lied on the wall with her alcohol.

I started talking with her and found she is an Italian traveler. I didn't know which friend brought her here.

While we were talking, I found that she was a vegetarian cook. In India, seeing a vegetarian is as easy as going to 7-11 in Taiwan.

It's been 7 years for her to be a vegetarian.

I usually didn't ask how it feels not to eat meat at all for vegetarians. Probably because I knew these vegetarians would not remember that feeling.

However, I asked that Italian girl this question that night.

She gave me an interesting answer: Being a vegetarian for 3 months, and you'll change your world of view.

"Really?!"I shouted out. "But what is the change? Can you tell me your experience?"

"Everyone is different. I did change my world of view and it's same as my vegetarian friends. I cannot tell you my exact feeling because my feeling would be different from yours," said the Italian girl.

"So 3 months is all I need to feel the change?" I asked. “Yeah, I think usually it's 3 months."

That talking was the cliff.

During that critical moment, I started thinking of being a vegetarian, to verify her word.

Now it's been 1 and half years for me to be a vegetarian. I'm not a vegan, but under a broad definition of "vegetarian"

If you ask me"Is the word of that Italian girl true?"I will definitely say yes.

"What has been changed then?"if you ask again.

You have to experience by yourself!

P▼B ACTION SERIES

I don't know why—pubs always bring me so much thought. Attractive colorful darkness and charming young girls, followed by quiet jumpy guys. What is on their mind? What is the shape of their souls?

I do think that is real world, a secret response to the 3-dimensional space. “That is not healty,” from a “normal person’s point of view. “But then how healthy is your world?” party animals scream.

If possible, I will bring my laptop there; write down all the thinking, use every word I know to describe different types.

Pubs in Taiwan have different stories.

P▼B ACTION

a black, a red
same memory, different mood

shake your soul, here he moves
follow the Pope, jump to the deep
to the self, to somewhere

drumming a shining rain
comes several ways
empty cups finish empty body
mix several languages and minor earthquakes

that is passion, and lost
pure red brings a familiar song
flows out tiring corpses
did they recover?

you are brave, to against natural timing
and then you scream, out loud
and then fall asleep
fall into a whirl

pool stays energetic and here he comes
to sleep, for a record sake

then leaves
