my favorite sport--RUGBY

I think I'm a blessed person, in every aspect. What I want, I get, with the help of the different creatures of the world. The more I live, the more I am grateful for my experiences in Hong Kong and India. And I'm so happy that I learned many sports in Hong Kong, including my favorite one—RUGBY.
Unfortunately, there are very few people who play rugby in Taiwan. It is actually a very exciting sport which requires excellent physical strength, wrestling skill and speed. All these elements blend into a beautiful scene.
Growing up in Taiwan, I'd never had the chance to experience rugby, although there was actually a rugby team in my school. I just ignored it.
Not until after I went to Hong Kong did I start learning the sport. It was 2005 Rugby 7's World Cup in Happy Valley. Working with the media, I got the ticket to get in to watch the game for free. To my surprised, Taiwan was on the competition list.
I remember that I was so excited to hear Taiwan was playing in the World Cup so I called the Taiwan Embassy Office which disguised as a travel agency because of political issue with China.
“Do you have the national flag of Taiwan? I want to bring it to the stadium to cheer for Taiwan's team,” I asked the officer over the phone unable to conceal my excitement. “Well, you are not allowed to do that since you are standing on the territory of China now,” the officer replied.
Yes, I totally forgot that waving Taiwanese national flag in Hong Kong could cause unnecessary disputation. So I gave up.
This is just a harmless interlude of my rugby story.
Watching those 3 days of World Cup competition was how first experienced rugby— who could have had a better experience? Learning a sport from a world cup?
Hong Kong was packed with party animals those days. Almost every person in the stadium had a bottle of beer in their hand. There was even a party going on for people in the South stand.
Chinese Taipei beat Italy was another surprise for me. Well, we are far way from Italy when talking about soccer, but about rugby? Yes, we were proved to be better. Hehe…My female boss, Rosenna was another person who inspired my rugby passion. She joined a female rugby team at that time and she seemed always so energetic and fearless.
After coming back from Taipei, I joined a girls’ touch rugby team as well—it's called Shebabs. Until now, it's been a year since I joined the team. I'm glad that my passion for rugby is still going on strong. It's so fascinating, especially when watching the NZ Hakka dance.( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwN_0YMr2nI)
I think I will marry someone who can do that dance. AAH UBA!
