Being a vegetarian

There are many things in life that happen for no reason. However, after that, you realize that It was a critical moment.

It's like when you walk to the edge of a mountain, and try to walk to the next step as usual, suddenly you fall down from the cliff.

During that "less than one second moment", your life is completely different.

Whether you become a handicapped or you find that you actually can fly like a bird— It is different.

I think that night was the "less than one second", that talk, was the transformation.

It was Christmas Eve, the party was as usual, a group of foreigners dancing and drinking, under the name of Christmas.

I knew most of the friends there. We talked about life, travel and anything. Then I went to the balcony in the second floor.

A girl lied on the wall with her alcohol.

I started talking with her and found she is an Italian traveler. I didn't know which friend brought her here.

While we were talking, I found that she was a vegetarian cook. In India, seeing a vegetarian is as easy as going to 7-11 in Taiwan.

It's been 7 years for her to be a vegetarian.

I usually didn't ask how it feels not to eat meat at all for vegetarians. Probably because I knew these vegetarians would not remember that feeling.

However, I asked that Italian girl this question that night.

She gave me an interesting answer: Being a vegetarian for 3 months, and you'll change your world of view.

"Really?!"I shouted out. "But what is the change? Can you tell me your experience?"

"Everyone is different. I did change my world of view and it's same as my vegetarian friends. I cannot tell you my exact feeling because my feeling would be different from yours," said the Italian girl.

"So 3 months is all I need to feel the change?" I asked. “Yeah, I think usually it's 3 months."

That talking was the cliff.

During that critical moment, I started thinking of being a vegetarian, to verify her word.

Now it's been 1 and half years for me to be a vegetarian. I'm not a vegan, but under a broad definition of "vegetarian"

If you ask me"Is the word of that Italian girl true?"I will definitely say yes.

"What has been changed then?"if you ask again.

You have to experience by yourself!
