I just came back from Yilan yesterday. My friend Ellen and me rode our motorcycles for over 100km from Taipei over the Seashore Freeway to East Taiwan. Everything starts with just a crazy idea- How about traveling by motorcycle rather than by mass communications? Well, we almost get killed by a huge truck on the Seashore Freeway. Now I realized mass transportations has its own value so next time I will go by train.
It's been 3 months after coming back to Taiwan and I’m happy that most of my Taiwanese friends overseas also came back recently. Eric, Even, Chris and Grace flied back respectively this month. Our view on this world changes which affects the way of thinking and living. For every returned-expat, what really important is to pave the right road for the future. The right road means to live in your favorite way even if it’s very different from the previous. During these 3 months, I try to adjust and broaden my life. I actually get to know many new friends. That's a good sign. I'm not settled down yet but I believe I will be in 2 more months.
Most of my friends in India went back to their countries too. Great to know they are all fine. How about my friends in Hong Kong? It's been a long time that I haven't contact friends I knew in HK. I will start writing emails soon.
By the way, I learned surfing at Honey-moon Bay in East Taiwan but I failed…I think I'd better to start with boogie boarding. (Thanks to the suggestion of Janice, USA).
