CulTure SHoCK in TW

Kilian is right. I got reverse culture shock on my first day in Taiwan. Everything is so familiar and different. When I reached my hometown, my first thought was “God! This place looks so much like China!" I know most of the Taiwanese would be annoyed if I say so. It's much better developed comparing to China but the way it presents is similar to China. What is my second thought? This place is so political! Most of the outdoor advertising is for election campaign. There is not many commercial advertising.

I was too in to life in HK so that I use my Honky eyes to view Taipei. I know there is Taipei 101 which is the highest building in the world but the buildings in general are short. The traffic is terrible. Before I left for HK, I rode motorcycle almost everyday but now I got problems. I can't stand the danger of riding motorcycle. I think I'll get used to it soon.

I went to a rock roll concert last night in ChungShan Soccer Stadium. That place is quite interesting because it lies near the airport and there're always planes flying over your head.

I'm happy to meet my old friends. We went to have spicy hot pot. I found that I'm on a very different rode from them. You wouldn't feel like that when in HK cause most of my friends work abroad. I learned how to enjoy life in HK and will keep staying young in the future.

I'm going to the night market in the next few days. It's the most exciting part in this country. I will keep posted.

Keep in touch, my HK friends.
